GMIT - Foróige’s Third Level Mentoring

4 GMIT Connect Through funding from the Programme for Access to Higher Education (PATH), the GMIT Connect Team engages with secondary schools, further education colleges and communities to run a variety of activities and supports to help individuals gain access to, and succeed in, higher education. The GMIT Connect team is here to help make the transition to higher education as smooth as possible, and we support our students every step of the way. We offer a range of supports, so we can find what works best for you. The GMIT Connect team work closely with our community partner Foróige to offer mentoring services to our students via Foróige’s 3rd Level Mentoring programme . This is a formal mentoring programme that matches mentors and mentees on a one-to-one basis. Matches are based on mutual interests and complimentary personalities to ensure our mentees get the most out of their time with GMIT. There are currently trained mentors available across all 5 GMIT campuses.
